Have you ever just wondered how to make exercise a habit? Some days it is hard to get that workout in. Some days we don’t feel like doing anything. Follow these 3 steps to totally change the way you think about your exercise to make it a daily habit.
#1. Put it on your calendar. Write it down. Before the next month begins, print out a calendar, just for workouts. Write down on each day what you will do and what time you will be doing the activity you have planned. DO the workout. CROSS it off. Research shows this works.
#2. Get dressed for your workout before you do anything else. No one likes to take off workout clothes that aren’t sweaty. Half the battle is getting ready. Put on your shoes. Get your gear on. This will motivate you.
#3. Focus on this system. Read your workout, get dressed to do your workout. Cross off workout when you are finished. Once you have made this system work for you, it will become a habit.
