Here is my recipe–using whole wheat flour and protein powder…shhh don’t tell the kids, or the husband.

Waffles

In a large bowl whisk:
2 C Whole Wheat Flour
1 1/2 C Protein Powder
2 T Sugar
1 t Salt
2 T Baking Powder

In another bowl whisk:
4-5 Eggs, well beaten
3 C Milk

Make a well in dry ingredients, add wet, mix a little. Drizzle in 1 Stick Butter, melted and whisk until combined. Let sit 2 minutes. Cook depending on your waffle iron, mine take about 7 minutes each. I know they are done when I no longer see steam coming from waffle iron. Makes about 8. They freeze well. Reheat in microwave 30 sec & then pop in toaster for added crunch.
